Tinubu’s Declaration: We Are Ready To Make It Happen – AATSG
A political mobilization group calling itself Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, has assured the presidential frontrunner, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu that it is ready to do everything possible to ensure realisation of his presidential dream’s.
This was contained in a release signed by the national chairman of the group Otunba Abayomi Odunowo after the former Lagos State governor made his aspiration known to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock.
According to him, Tinubu towers above every other aspirant in all political parties as the nation inches towards 2023 general elections. He said given the track record of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, both in and out of office, he is the best man for the job.
He said, “This declaration marks a watershed in Nigeria’s political evolution as we march towards the next general elections. For those in doubt about the seriousness and readiness of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential ambition, you heard him loud and clear.
And what other venue best suited such momentous occasion other than the seat of power itself, Aso Rock.
Asiwaju, as a faithful party man as ever, has officially informed Mr President that he wants to succeed him come 2023 and that he is in consultations with political stakeholders before announcing to Nigerians.
The news did not come as a surprise to the leadership of the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG. We have anticipated this for a long time and finally Asiwaju has given the marching orders by this declaration.”
He however called on all members of AATSG and all lovers of Tinubu all over the country and beyond to be prepared to make the ambition a reality by giving their everything. He reminded Nigerians of Tinubu’s capacity having weathered many political storms during the nation’s struggle for return to democracy during the dark days of the military and his sterling achevementsi as governor of Lagos State.
He said, ‘As a group, I would like to enjoin all of us, across the country, to fasten our loincloth because our time has come.
We all know and believe that Tinubu towers above every other aspirant both in political resume and public service experience. He has struggled for democracy all his adult life at great peril to his personal safety. As governor of Lagos, he designed the development blueprint for Lagos State since 1999 and successive administrations after him continue to build on his foundation.
This is what is lacking at the centre and this is what Tinubu’s presidency will do. He has the mental capacity to make things happen by appointing the right people for the right positions. He is a builder of men.”
Odunowo submitted that Tinubu does not “care where you come from or what God you pray to. What he is after is what can you offer to better the lives of Nigerians.”
He further stated that “as a Group, AATSG is ready to make this presidential ambition a reality. This is not about political parties, it’s about supporting the best man for the job to take Nigeria out of the abyss that continually threaten to swallow the nation.
Our job is well cut out. We must map out strategies of mobilization to ensure his candidacy is bought by the majority strong enough to defeat any opposition.
We must travel the length and breadth of this nation, knock on millions of doors to make sure this dream becomes a reality.”
The national chairman assured members of the support of its grand patron Iyaloja Folasade Tinubu – Ojo’s readiness to support the group saying, “good enough, our Grand Patron Iyaloja Folasade Tinubu- Ojo, is more than ready to support us in this quest.
I want to assure you that we all will not regret our efforts. Tinubu rewards efforts. His record in this respect speaks volumes of his large heart.
