Sarki Joins AATSG Advisory Council Appoints
The Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, has appointed Dr. Dalhatu Sarki as a member of its Advisory Council.
Speaking at the ceremony in Abuja, the national chairman of the organisation, Otunba Abayomi Odunowo said Sarki was elevated into the Advisory Council due to his wealth of experience in politics spanning many years.
The national chairman reiterated the commitment of the organisation to the task of ensuring the victory of the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, at next year’s general election.
He described the former Lagos state governor as a natural leader who for the past three decades has built political alliances across the country as a result of his stellar performance as Lagos State as governor.
Odunowo notes that the infrastructure blueprint designed by Tinubu is still being implemented almost two decades after leaving government House.
He also recalls his pro-democracy activities throughout the military rule at a great risk to his safety and personal well being.
He said, “As we move towards 2023, it is incumbent on us as a support organisation to appoint people with experience to ensure Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu becomes Nigeria’s next president.
“That’s why we are here to elevate Dr Sarki into the Advisory Council. We believe he has the capacity to be among the levers that will ensure victory for Tinubu next year.
“Tinubu has for most part of his adult life built alliances across the country and beyond. He has eyes to identify talents and nurture them to great minds. He is not nepotistic. He doesn’t care where you come from or what God you pray to, once you can deliver, you are his man.
“His performance as Lagos state governor has served as yardstick for those that came after him. Little wonder he was made the national leader of APC.
In Dr Tafida response he spoke glowingly about our Presidential candidate ASIWAJU AHMED TINUBU and in his words he said ‘ Asiwaju is someone he would love to have as a leader of Nigeria because he has performed in the past’ .
He refered to how the Obasanjo Govt held Lagos allocation for 3 years and Lagos State survived under Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.
Dr Tafida concluded finally by praying that the Almighty God should guide Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu aright.
AATSG Chairman concluded by availing the number of our Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to Dr. Tafida.

After serving in many professional medical capacities, he was elected Senator for the Kaduna North constituency of Kaduna State, Nigeria at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
After leaving the Senate, Tafida was appointed Nigeria High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, presenting his Letters of Credence to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 30 May 2008.
