Lekuti Appointed AATSG Chairman In Ogun
In its bid to reposition the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, for better preparedness ahead of the 2023 general election, the organisation has appointed Alhaji Kamaldeen Lekuti as the new Ogun State chairman.
The appointment was announced by the National Chairman Otunba Abayomi Odunowo during a parley with news men in Abeokuta.
The national chairman said the appointment was based on merit considering the broad political experience of the new chairman.
AATSG is a flagship support organisation mobilisation to ensure the former Lagos State governor who also doubles as the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu becomes the Nigerian president come 2023 general elections. Tinubu had emerged as the APC presidential candidate at the party’s presidential primaries in early June.
Until his appointment, Kamaldeen has been serving as the Administrator Ogun East since the creation of the group.
Odunowo said, “We have ambitious plans to transform Ogun AATSG by working closely with other executives within Ogun state
“This appointment will help strengthen the relationships with our ambassadors , patrons and management Executives for the benefit of achieving our objectives “
“I have worked alongside Alhaji Kamaldeen for the last few years and have been deeply impressed by his dedication to everything he handles and focus in resolving issues that seems problematic.
“This appointment brings with it the opportunity to build rapidly on the great partnership within the Ogun state twenty Local government and we look forward a new drive in Ogun state.
“The Ogun state AATSG Executive team and the local government down to the ward structures will be further strengthened with this appointment as Alhaji Lekuti brings over 20 years of political experience to this team in top management positions.
