Asiru Replaces Lekuti As AATSG Administrator For Ogun East
Following the appointment of Alhaji Kamaldeen Lekuti as the new chairman of the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, in Ogun State, Hakeem Asiru has been appointed as the new Administrator in charge of Ogun East Senatorial zone, to occupy the vacancy left by Lekuti.
The announcement was made by the national chairman of the group, Otunba Abayomi Odunowo, in Ijebu Ode while speaking with journalists.
Odunowo said Hakeem Asiru comes from a family of astute committed and loyal politicians from Ipara Remo axis of ogun state and has been in active politics for over two decades. He said his appointment will further strengthen Ogun State chapter of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu support group (AATSG).
The national chairman said, “He is a son of one of our political icons (Alhaji Yusuf Asiru) who has been actively involved in progressive politics and remained the leader of the Party in our community.
“He has also been a consistent card carrying member of our great party APC since the days of Alliance for Democracy. He has contributed in no small measure to the party and equally been involved and trusted with several leadership roles.
“He was part of the coordinating team that worked towards the success of past Governors in Ogun State and same goes to other Political Leaders from 1999 till date.
“He was equally the Secretary of the fund raising Committee for Babajide Olushola Sanwo-olu’s Governorship Election in 2019. He was also a member, Directorate of Legal Service Committee (Buhari/Osinbajo 2019 Election
“He was aspirant (Remo North Constituency) Ogun State House of Assembly at the just concluded party primary election.
“He is a party loyalist connected with virtually all the political leaders/contacts within and outside our Party in our Senatorial District.
“AATSG has the mandate of mobilizing 50 million voters for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu come 2023 elections. And with this caliber of people within the group we are more than assured of delivery and achieve more than our target.”
