He, however, applauded the Seven Supreme Court judges for standing firm on true justice and the wishes of the generality of Nigerians voters and restricted all attempts to be intimidated by the opposition.
The AATSG National Chairman noted that all Nigerians had ferverently prayed for this verdict, more so that it was a confirmation that they truly cast their votes for President Tinubu in the February 25 presidential poll.
” He states that The Supreme Court couldn’t have decided otherwise in view of the overwhelming evidence before it that the over eight million votes garnered by President Tinubu in the election were not fluke as they were willingly given by Nigerians”
This was contained in a press release signed by the national chairman of the organisation, Otunba Abayomi Odunowo and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.
According to the release, the Supreme court judgement that upheld the victory of Tinubu at the poll is a further testament to the fact that the president was destined to lead the country and therefore rebuild Nigeria in accordance with the ideals of the founding fathers of the nation.
While applauding the judiciary for deciding the case on its merits, the group called on President Tinubu not to take the victory for granted but rather start to implement economic reforms that will bring immediate succour to Nigerians both home and abroad.
The statement reads in part, ” We want to congratulate President Bola Tinubu and the Vice President Kashim Shettima, APC family and All the Support groups on this victory at the Supreme court. The ruling has put an end to all legal issues arising from the 2023 Presidential election.
