Dapo Abiodun’s Projects Galore In Abeokuta South LG

The amiable governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, seems to have special treatment for the good people of Abeokuta south local government. Or how does one explain the many laudable projects his government has executed in the domain within the last three years.

A visitor to the local government will be dumbfounded by the sheer number of projects with direct bearing on the social cum economic empowerment of the inhabitants of this area.

That was the experience of the team of Dapo Abiodun Commandos (DAC) during the continuous consultation and visitation to Abeokuta south.

The team saw that the Reconstruction of Abeokuta Shagamu interchange road was completed with street lights to provide illumination at night.

The reconstruction of Ida Aba-Elite -oke lantoro road had been completed, this was a road that was impassable during the last administration. The rehabilitation of olokuta road.

Rehabilitation of 331 houses in both prince court one and two, rehabilitation ofprimary health care center at Oke-Ilewo, construction of 50 open stalls at Asero market, fabrication and distribution of modern smoking kilns for fish processors, provision of bore holes reticulation and construction of walkway, concrete payment and drainage at Asero/Kemta, odutale/Kemta, oke Ola Adire international market.

Renovation of existing fire stations, furnishing the dormitories and supply of operational equipment for state fire services, construction of 30 open stalls at Olorombo market Leme,

One of the things that hit our imagination was the distribution of projects. The projects were objectively distributed in a fair and equitable manner covering all areas of Abeokuta south, from Abeokuta grammar school in idiaba to st Leo’s in Onikoko, to victory High school in magbon to Rev Kuti memorial school in Isabo, to Asero high school, to Anglican school Ibara, over 43 high schools nursery and primary schools have been renovated.

It didn’t end there. Other schools reconstructed include Baptist primary school Ijaye, OGD model primary school with two blocks of classroom office and stores at ijemo. Oke yeke, Oke Aregba, Adatan and Oke Lanntoro was not left.

The health sector also benefited as no less than two primary health care centers were touched within the first 2 years of his administration,

About four school that had no water system were provided at saint Augustine Adatan, Anne’s primary school Ibara, ASL primary school Oke- iro, and Ijaye community nursery and primary school.

Abeokuta south cannot claim they have not recieved the dividends of democracy from Dapo Abiodun led administration and Dapo Abiodun Commandos would expect Abeokuta south would provide full support for the re-election bid of this government. So that more achievement would be seen in Ogun state.
