AATSG Executives Seek Royal Blessings For Tinubu
In continuation of its consultation with the northeastern part of the country, the national executives of the Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group (AATSG) have paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Fika, His Royal Highness Dr (Alh) Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrisa.
The group’s visit had the blessings of the Chairman board of trustees of AATSG, Senator Kashim Sheittima, and the Grand patron Alhaja Mujidat Folashade Tinubu Ojo.
The team was led by its National Chairman Otunba Abdulfalil Abayomi Odunowo. Accompanied by the chairman were Alhaji HF Dauda MoiSoro, the National Organizing Secretary, Hon Zarah Bukar the National Deputy woman Leader, the National Youth Leader, Hon Adedayo Adeyemi, the National Vice Chairman South East, Prince Osondu Ofechebe, Barrister Aloke Ndidiamaka Cynthia. and Hajia Kafayat Adebukola Adedeji Members of AATSG
The group lamented the precarious situation of our country presently and requested the support of the Emir in ensuring that Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu becomes the next president of Nigeria at the 2023 general elections. So that there can be a new Nigeria that we all have been longing for.
In his remarks, the national chairman, Otunba Odunowo unveiled the agenda of the group to the royal father. He explained that having considered all candidates that have emerged from political parties’ primaries, Asiwaju Tinubu is the man with the requisite leadership skills of tolerance, empathy, and kindness to lead the country out of the current conundrum. He highlighted some of the achievements of Tinubu as Lagos State governor. How he transformed the landscape of the state so much so that successive administrations have been following his development blueprint saying that is what he will do as president.
Odunowo, therefore, asked for the support of the royal father to propagate these qualities among the people of his domain.
He said, ” Your Highness, we are here on a courtesy visit and with the message of hope for the country. We are here to seek your support in propagating the gospel of hope symbolized by Asiwaju Bola Tinubu the APC presidential candidate.
“We have followed with keen interest the primaries of the different political parties. We are happy that Tinubu clinched the ticket. In spite of the political storm that dogged the process, he emerged victorious.
“Sir, we need your support to use your royal voice among our people in the northeast to vote for him. He has the best credential. His landmark achievements as governor of Lagos State are there for all to see. He started an infrastructural revolution that successive governments have followed.
“That’s what has been lacking at the federal level of government. Tinubu will bring this about and even long after he must have served his terms, successive governments will carry on the legacy of development. That’s our message to our people sir.”
In his response, the royal father promised to support the APC candidate with prayers and whatever is needed from the Emirates of the North East.
The group thanked his Royal highness for the honor accorded the team and promised to make another visit to address all the emirates in the North East.
