2023: Better Days Ahead of Nigeria – AATSG
Amidst many challenges confronting the nation in her journey towards 2023 general elections, a Mass Root political organization known as Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Support Group, AATSG, has assured Nigerians that the former governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Products Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will restore better days back into the country if elected president.
This was disclosed by the national chairman of the Group, Otunba Abayomi Odunowo while speaking with newsmen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital on a familiarisation tour to the South-South geo-political zone as part of the efforts of AATSG to mobilize support for the presidential aspiration of the former Lagos State governor towards the next general elections.
Odunowo said, given the current myriad of challenges besetting the nation, Tinubu is the only presidential aspirant with a track record of achievements strong enough, both in and out of political office, to steer the ship of the country towards total transformation.
According to the national chairman, if it were other nations, the choice of the next president would not even be open for debate because Tinubu stands above every other aspirant irrespective of political leanings and ideology.
He further stated that AATSG was determined to campaign and mobilize Nigerians throughout the length and breadth of the country to ensure Tinubu is the next president of Nigeria.
He however submitted that though there are other groups championing the same course, AATSG is the foremost because of its grassroots connection saying the grand patron of the group, Iyaloja General, Folasade Tinubu-Ojo is a testament to their preeminence among other groups.
Odunowo lamented the parlous status of every facet of our national life insisting that Nigerians should not resign to despondency saying help is on the way.
He said AATSG’s modus operandi is to knock at as many doors as possible, all over the country, interacting with ordinary Nigerians to propagate the gospel of hope that Tinubu represents.
He said, “Nigeria should keep hope alive because help is on the way. Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu is a tested hand as far as performance and compassion are concerned. And these are hallmarks of a genuine leader. He did it in Lagos for eight years which resulted in the total transformation of our commercial center. He built an army of supporters that by 2003, he escaped the political tsunami that swept across South West.
“We need to entrust him with the presidency come 2023 so that there will be a blueprint for future presidents to follow. That’s what he did in Lagos. His successors have been building on that foundation for almost two decades.
“Tinubu does not care where you come from or the God you worship. His assessment of you is based purely on what you can do with your brain pure and simple. For these reasons and more, we are determined as a group to take this group to every doorstep.
“Even his political opponents respect his intelligence. So this is not a. All Progressives Congress agenda, it should be agenda for all lovers of freedom, equity, justice, and excellence.”
Odunowo said AATSG is active in all the six geopolitical zones of the country. Where they have started knocking on doors that people never get to. He said that the new Nigeria we all want and have longed for is very much on the way come 2023. He said his next point of call after the SouthSouth is the South East and then the North East, with the National Officers of the group to continue the sensitization of Nigeria.
