The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unambiguously stated that there will be no provision for Nigerians in the diaspora and out of Nigeria to vote in the 2019 elections.
INEC said it was necessary to clear the air on the matter because of the contrary report being circulated by some media outfit.
In a press statement released by the electoral umpire on Thursday and signed by Festus Okoya, National commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voters Committee, INEC said there is no special provision for Nigerians in the diaspora and Internally Displaced Persons living out the country to vote in the 2019 elections.
The statement further stated that the IDPs living in Nigeria with registered voters card will vote.
It also clarified that the IDPs not living at the place they registered can not vote in other elections except in the presidential.
